I forgot my PIN. What now?
On the unlock screen, click "Forgot your PIN?" and sign in with your email and password. Your key comes back from our server, nothing is lost, and you choose a new PIN.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in screen, click "Forgot your password?" and enter the email you signed up with. We send you a link to choose a new password. Then come back and sign in.
Your PIN on this device still works while you wait.
I have a new phone or computer. How do I get my numbers back?
Open the app on the new device and sign in with your email and password. Then open the menu and use "Restore from backup" with your latest backup file.
Your numbers live on your device, not on our server — so the backup file is what carries them over.
What is a backup and how often should I make one?
"Backup my data" in the menu saves one file with all your numbers, locked like everything else. It opens only after you sign in with your account.
Make one at the end of every month and after any big change. If this device is lost or the browser is cleared, your backup is the only copy of your numbers.
iPhone: why do I have to "Add to Home Screen"?
Safari can clear a website's saved data if you don't open it for 7 days. An app added to the Home Screen is kept.
Open the app in Safari (if you came from a QR code, choose "Open in Safari" first), tap Share, then "Add to Home Screen". From then on, always open it from that icon.
Deleting the icon deletes the numbers on that phone — make a backup first.
Android: how do I put the app on my phone?
Open the app in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮), then "Add to Home screen" or "Install app". Always open it from that icon.
Are my numbers safe? Who can see them?
Your numbers stay on your own device, locked (encrypted). Our server keeps only your name, your email and your key. Nobody else can see your numbers — not even Mirjana.
Can two people use the app on the same device?
Yes. Open the menu, choose "Lock / switch person", then "+ Add a person". Each person has their own account, their own PIN and their own numbers.
Step Zero: how do I add my statement?
Take a screenshot of your online banking page, or a photo of your paper statement — flat, in good light. Choose which account or card it is from, then add the picture.
Look the lines over: fix anything read wrong and untick paychecks, transfers and card payments. Do this for your bank statement and for every credit card you use.
Step Zero: is my statement picture sent anywhere?
No. The picture is read right there on your device, and it is never uploaded or saved. Only the lines you keep are saved, locked like the rest of your numbers.
What is the Cash Release Method? (Cash Release App)
CASH RELEASE METHOD: Debt ÷ Payment = Months. We target the debt that will release the most cash every month.
Snowball starts with the smallest balance; Avalanche with the highest interest. The app shows all three side by side — Cash Release is a bridge to them, not a competitor.
Why must a card never go over its limit? (Cash Release App)
Going over the limit brings fees and hurts your credit. When you put bills on a card, the app checks the room left on that card and stops you before the limit. When a card runs low on room, move the bills to another card that has room.
Putting bills on a card — is it free? (Cash Release App)
No. A card carries real interest the whole time. It frees cash today for your Cash Release target, but it is not free — it needs regular checking of each card's balance and room.
I have a card balance or a small loan. Is Homeconomy right for me? (Homeconomy)
If it is paid off within 12 months, it is simply a monthly bill here. If it takes longer than a year, the Cash Release App was built for exactly that — and it's free. The choice is yours.
Does it cost anything?
No. The apps are free, and they stay free.
How do I change the language? I found a translation mistake.
Pick your language at the bottom of the menu (🌐). In any language other than English, the menu shows "Report a translation mistake" — it opens an email where you write what it says and what it should say.
How do I delete my account?
"Remove me from this device" in the menu deletes your numbers from that device. To close your account completely, write to info@cashreleasemethod.com.
I am the founder and creator of the Cash Release Method. Yes, I'm an accountant, but not a CPA, and a financial coach, but not a financial advisor. I create the map and lay the numbers out in front of your eyes, but the decision is always yours, whether or not you take the steps on the map.
